Predator Prey Relations
This is a C++ simulation of Deer/Wolf population
dynamics.
Robert Spieldenner
Hylton High School
For the 1999 Science Fair Spieldenner designed a program
to simulate a predator prey relation between wolves
and deer. He wrote the program in the C++ programming
language. Spieldenner was not able to manipulate the program
to maintain equilibrium in the environment, but the
program could determine if 1000 deer could support
a user entered number of wolves. The conclusion of
the project was that a population of 1000 deer could
support 19 wolves. Approximately 50 deer are required
per wolf.
